Hear from our MD
Greetings from a virtual Cornish Mutual.
I hope you are coping as well as can be expected under the current circumstances.
I also wanted to let you know what we at Cornish Mutual are doing in the current situation.
At Cornish Mutual, we have well established, and tested, working-from-home practices which support our business continuity and commitment to flexible working. Those colleagues who are usually out visiting Members are not able to do so at present but they are still available and ready to help you with your insurance needs.
While we are all in this together, Covid 19 brings a different set of challenges to each business, household and person. We each have different personal circumstances and our individual nature affects how we react to the restrictions, including the emotional impact. Those running the farms and rural businesses that we insure are dealing with a fast-changing situation and are faced with new challenges every day.
Many of us around the South West are using phone, email, video apps and instant messaging to keep in touch with friends, families and professional contacts. The technology is great but when it comes down to it, it is the people on the end of that connection that really make the difference.
Our teams will continue to connect with you as an individual. That means being open and flexible. Many of our own people have their own challenges while some are looking to volunteer to help with the crisis. We will be supporting all of this to the best of our ability, while maintaining our service commitments to Members.
As the situation develops we will continue to look at what we do, adapting where we can to help further.
Stay safe and look after each other.
