Frequently Asked Questions

We understand that insurance can be a complicated subject to get your head around. To help you, we've put together some of the most common questions that we get asked.

We are always happy to hear from you, so if we can help in any way at all, please do get in touch or use our 'call me back' service.

Why should I lose part of my No Claims Discount when the accident I had with my car was not my fault?

If we are able to recover our outlay from a negligent party then your No Claims Discount will not be reduced.

Who should we use to replace a damaged windscreen?

Who you use to repair or replace your windscreen is your choice and we do not recommend any one company. However, National Mobile Windscreens are familiar with our processes. They can be contacted on 0800 373 171.

Who should we contact in the event of a claim?

Our Member Services Team on 0345 017 5513. This is a local rate call.

Where are your Member Services team based?

Our Member Services Advisors are based in Truro and Willand. They are well trained to provide you with the best insurance advice.

What would the excess on an all-terrain vehicle be?

The excess, unless your insurance policy schedule states something different, is £250.

What should I do in the event of a claim?

Please visit our ‘How to make a claim’ page where you will find all of the information you need.

What makes you different from other insurers?

We believe that by living and working in the South West we have a better understanding of the issues facing our Members. We are also more easily accessible and better placed to provide an excellent service compared to other remote insurance companies.  Our Members are at the heart of everything we do and we strive to ensure they always know where they stand with us.

What is the minimum amount you refund or charge?

We don’t make any administration charge for changes to your Policy and we don’t charge for any additional premiums of up to £6. We also do not give refunds for amounts under £6 because the administrative cost of doing this is more than the refund.
