New Fire Risk Assessment Service for farms and rural businesses

Cornish Mutual has launched a new Fire Risk Assessment Service, delivered by our in-house fire safety specialists. Tailored specifically for agricultural premises and rural businesses, the service provides practical advice to help identify fire hazards, review existing safety measures and prioritise improvements.

Fire is one of the most significant risks facing farms and rural businesses, with the potential to cause serious disruption, financial loss and lasting damage. Understanding where your fire risks exist is a vital step in protecting your people, property and livelihood.

As a BAFE Registered Organisation for Life Safety Fire Risk Assessment, we combine recognised fire safety expertise with longstanding experience of supporting the rural community. For many businesses, carrying out and recording a suitable fire risk assessment is also a legal requirement.

Commenting on the new service, Cornish Mutual Risk Management Leader Dom Jones said: “This month’s update to the Government’s Fire Safety Order is a timely reminder of the importance of assessing fire risk. But a risk assessment is more than a compliance exercise - it's an opportunity to identify potential issues before they become a major problem.

“Taking the time to understand your fire risks can make a real difference. Our new service provides practical recommendations to help businesses improve fire safety, meet their legal responsibilities and reduce the risk of serious incidents."
