Cornish Mutual says ‘Have a cuppa on us!’ to local farming communities

Farmers and rural business owners across the South West are being invited to enjoy a free cuppa at their local livestock market, as Cornish Mutual says thank you to the people and businesses at the heart of rural life.

Following the first Have a cuppa on us! morning at Frome Livestock Market in September, Cornish Mutual is bringing the event to Truro and Holsworthy in November, with a further date planned for Sedgemoor Auction Centre.

The market mornings reflect Cornish Mutual’s longstanding commitment to supporting local farming communities and are a small way of recognising the important part farmers and rural businesses play within the South West.

Livestock markets have always been important meeting places for farming communities, providing an opportunity to catch up during a busy working week.

By getting out to local markets, the Cornish Mutual team can spend time with the communities they work alongside, catch up with familiar faces and meet new ones, while offering a free hot drink along the way.

Cornish Mutual’s Head of Field Claire Worden said: “Farming communities are at the heart of Cornish Mutual. Have a cuppa on us! is our small way of saying thank you for the job they do.

“Livestock markets are an important part of farming life and somewhere people naturally come together. We’re making the most of this, offering them a cuppa while they’re there.

“We know how busy farming life can be, so whether you have time for a quick hello or want to stop for a bit longer and have a chat, we’d love to see you. You don’t need to be a Cornish Mutual Member. Everyone is welcome.”
