Devon County Show Farmers’ Hub expanded for 2026
Cornish Mutual and Devon County Show have announced an upgraded Farmers’ Hub for 2026 event, building on the foundations laid last year and bringing more of what matters. The Farmers’ Hub is a dedicated space designed to bring farmers together to connect, share experiences and explore practical ideas in a supportive environment.
Following a successful launch in 2025, the Farmers’ Hub returns with a broader and more ambitious programme. Visitors can expect a series of short, farmer-focused talks covering some of the most relevant topics facing farm businesses today, plus a live recording of the Cornish Mutual podcast Farming Focus™.
From making the most of natural resources and understanding the Sustainable Farming Incentive, to collaboration and agroforestry, each session has been developed with a spotlight on practical application.
The Hub is also hosting a range of organisations offering advice, guidance and resources, giving farmers the opportunity to ask questions, exchange ideas and talk to those who know about the challenges and opportunities ahead.
Those in the Hub alongside Cornish Mutual at this year’s show are the Addington Fund, AHDB, FWAG South West, Terrafarmer, the Forestry Commission and Bicton College.
Devon County Show CEO Lisa Moore said: “We are excited to be offering an even better Farmers’ Hub this year. We have built the programme and activities on what we know works and value Cornish Mutual’s support in helping us take it to the next level.”
Peter Beaumont, Chief Executive Officer of Cornish Mutual added: “The Farmers’ Hub is about creating a space where farmers feel comfortable to talk, listen and take something useful away for their own businesses. Farming continues to face change, whether it’s policy, markets or the weather. Bringing people together to share knowledge and experience has never been more important.”
Alongside the Farmers’ Hub, Cornish Mutual continues its headline sponsorship of the show, further strengthening its presence and reinforcing its position as a long-term partner to farmers and rural communities across the South West.
Peter continued: “Our simple but important role is to stand alongside farmers across the region every day, helping protect what they’ve built and supporting them, whatever comes next. We’re proud to be part of the farming community and the Devon County Show is an important event in the farming calendar and a valuable opportunity to spend time with our Members and the wider industry.”
The Devon County Show remains one of the South West’s premier agricultural events, attracting thousands of farmers, exhibitors and visitors each year. Cornish Mutual’s involvement reflects its ongoing investment in the industry, not only through insurance but through practical support, insight and initiatives to ensure the region’s farming businesses remain resilient.
Farmers attending the show are encouraged to visit the Farmers’ Hub to hear from speakers, meet industry organisations and take time to connect with others.
