Supporting our community

In particular, we believe that a successful farming industry is an essential part of what it means to live in the countryside… and we strive to support both this sector and the wider rural community. 

We do this by offering an open and honest approach to insurance, supporting rural initiatives like the Year of Food and Farming and by sponsoring activities like agricultural shows, ploughing matches, hedgelaying contests, sheepdog trials, primestock shows and Young Farmers events. 

In 2011 we devoted almost £14,000 to this kind of support.
