Award success for Insurance Inspectors

Two of Cornish Mutual’s Insurance Inspectors are celebrating after achieving a top qualification from one of the industry’s leading bodies.

Graham Nicholls and Gary Burgess have received a stamp of approval from the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) by qualifying as Chartered Insurers and passing the Advanced Diploma (ACII).

The Chartered Insurer status is one of the most important industry accolades and recognises the highest standards of competence and integrity for those working in the insurance sector.

Graham and Gary, who between them cover Plymouth, East Devon and Dorset, have also passed the Advanced Diploma and can now carry the ACII badge after their names. Passing the Advanced Diploma demonstrates an in-depth understanding of the market and is evidence of a commitment to the insurance industry.

Graham Nicholls has been with Cornish Mutual for over 15 years and covers Ivybridge, Buckfastleigh, Plymouth, Kingsbridge and Totnes. He said he was delighted that his hard work has paid off and that he is now a Chartered Insurer:

“Studying the Advanced Diploma and working towards becoming a Chartered Insurer was hard work but I’m delighted that this has now been rewarded and recognised. The Advanced Diploma expected us to show an enhanced understanding of insurance practice, both in terms of subject matter and overall management skills and I hope passing it demonstrates my ongoing commitment and ability in the industry.”

Gary Burgess has been working in the insurance industry for more than 33 years, and covers Honiton, East Devon and Dorset.

Gary said: “I’ve always had a commitment to continue expanding my knowledge of the industry alongside my career and so I am delighted to have passed the Advanced Diploma. Achieving Chartered status is also a huge honour and it is really satisfying knowing that we are working towards reaching the top of our profession and can carry the insurance industry’s stamp of approval.”
