Gerald joined the Board in March 2002. He was appointed Deputy Chairman in April 2006 and Chairman in April 2007. He has recently retired from a farm family partnership and also as a Director of Gelly Pigs Ltd.
A former Director with Wadebridge Abattoir, Mr Blewett has long experience of business issues affecting the rural community.
Chris was appointed Deputy Chairman in April 2007, having been a Board member since November 2005. The Finance Director of Maximum Fun Ltd, Chris is also responsible for running the family farm and an agricultural contracting business. He has wide experience of the South West rural community and the wider business issues that it faces.
Roger was appointed to the Board in June 2000, having spent his working life as a banker and latterly as a rural bank manager for Nat West. This long experience enables him to understand financial issues surrounding the wider rural community.
Jerry was co-opted to the board in May 2007. A chartered accountant with a law degree, Jerry trained and worked at Pricewaterhouse and Deloitte. He has held both Managing Director and Finance Director roles in a variety of industries, gaining extensive strategic business and management experience. In late 2002, Jerry set up The Mill Consultancy, a firm of chartered accountants specialising in corporate finance and business development advice. He is a Non-Executive Director for a number of South West based businesses.
Jilly joined the Board in November 2005 and as well as being involved in the family farm, is the Managing Director of One Voice Media & PR Limited. Jilly has extensive business knowledge and experience of the rural community.
Reg joined the Board in 1990, bringing a broad range of management expertise in rural situations. He has been a Parish Councillor for Berry Pomeroy for the last 25 years and is one of the Directors of the Totnes show, often hosting the event on his land. Reg currently farms 690 acres of beef, sheep and cereals and having worked as a farmer all his life, has an in depth understanding of the issues faced by agriculture in the UK.
In addition to being a farmer, Michael runs an agricultural merchant and country store and is also a Tax Commissioner. He has a deep knowledge of issues affecting the rural and farming community. Michael joined the Board in July 1992
Alan joined the Board in August 2004, when he assumed the position of Managing Director. Previously employed as Deputy General Manager, he joined Cornish Mutual in December 2001. A Chartered Insurer, Alan has previously worked with PricewaterhouseCoopers and The Royal Insurance Group. He also sits on the Board of the Association of Mutual Insurers.
