FarmSafe is a Cornish Mutual initiative which aims
to raise awareness of health and safety on farms. As an
insurance company with our roots in farming and an interest in the
welfare of rural communities throughout the South West, we take
health and safety issues very seriously and would like to encourage
the reduction of risk for the benefit of all our prospective and
existing Members.
In 2010/11 there were 8 deaths on farms in the South West so we
believe our 'FarmSafe' initiative to be very timely. We have
created this health and safety section of the website to
provide guidance on what farmers need to consider when ensuring
that their farming activities are compliant with health and
safety regulations.
We have covered a range of subjects surrounding
health and safety on farms which we believe to be
pertinent to our Members. Each topic provides links to further
information. We have also produced some videos on the various
topics, in conjunction with Duchy College. The videos can be viewed
below.
